iMAXX provide professional services to FMCG clients and I am able to contribute my experience and skills in to a wide variety of clients.
Each project presents unique challenges, bosses listen to my ideas/feedback and the whole team works together to make them happen. We all support each other and work together to meet deadline, to complete ‘mission impossible’.
Everyone in iMAXX shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. This truly creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other.
My boss trusted me and giving me lots of opportunities to learn and to handle projects. I work hard to maintain that level of trust and I love my hardwork being appreciated.
Way back 2014, stepped in iMAXX and came from different industry is the biggest challenge for me. If people ask me what is merchandising on that time though I’ve read and did some research, it is still blurred in my mind.
Once, a colleague had asked my manager why did she hired me who has zero knowledge about this industry, and I remembered her answer, “it’s not about knowledge and skills, but an attitude to learn and do effectively, efficiently that determines the people”. Thank you so much iMAXX for putting your trust in me.
This company, bosses and colleagues gave tremendous knowledge from learning Excel in handling BI report, what is merchandising all about to soft skills such managing, engaging, comforting people. The real competitive advantage in any business is one word only, which is “people”. In iMAXX, “the people” taught us and me personally to faced uniqueness of people behaviour with positive mind which is great practice that can be carried out in our career path.
I consider my ability to arouse enthusiasm among “my people” the greatest asset I possess, and the way to develop the best that is in a person is by appreciation and encouragement. There is nothing else that so kills the ambitions of a person as criticism from superiors. They never criticize anyone but instead they give me support, advise, and teach me to do the right thing. My bosses and colleagues are anxious to praise but loath to find fault. If they like anything, they are hearty in their appreciation and lavish in their praise.
I started as a Merchandiser in 2005. After a few years of working at iMAXX, I have managed to develop a career.
I've been promoted to a Supervisor cum Trainer and then a Field Executive. The experience I'm gaining here is helpful in understanding the different ways of managing Field Merchandisers and how we can work together to achieve better outcomes for iMAXXian.
I like this company. It is a simple and lean company, you can tackle and solve things very quickly. But on flip side, simple and lean also mean I have to take on many roles and responsibilities but I take them all as a challenge to improve myself further.
I now look back over the last 10+ years with deep satisfaction, joy and gratitude, for all the merchandisers that I have recruited and trained, and knowing how those merchandisers have enhanced their knowledge and skills. I witness the progress of merchandisers whom I have recruited from day one, and to see them improved upon their own career, whether they are still with iMAXX or move on to other things.
My years with iMAXX has been amazing - every year is different. There are always new tasks and challenges that force me to learn new thing. My role does not have a truly fixed routine or task, as a Field Executive I have a pretty much a ‘freedom of movement’. I get travel from time to time. That’s what I like.
Saya amat gembira dapat bekerja dengan iMAXX kerana di sinilah boleh menambah pengalaman dan kecekapan saya sebagai seorang merchandiser.
Walaupun yang termuda di dalam team namun, Supervisor iMAXX sentiasa memberikan kata-kata semangat supaya terus maju dan mengejar cita-cita untuk dianugerahkan sebagai best merchandiser.

Tambahan pula, dengan adanya display contest ia memberikan saya peluang untuk menunjukkan kreativiti. Perkara yang paling membanggakan diri saya ialah apabila memenangi display contest.
Jika dahulu saya mungkin tidak mempunyai apa-apa, tetapi dengan berkhidmat di iMAXX, saya mampu membeli sebuah motosikal dan kemudiannya dapat membeli kereta. Saya percaya kehidupan saya kini sudah berubah dan menjadi lebih stabil.
